Yale officials say the incoming class is among the most diverse in the Ivy League school’s history.

About 40 percent of the newly admitted students to Yale are from minority ethnic and racial groups, a record proportion for a freshman class.


The new class has representatives from all 50 states and 42 foreign nations.
